Kupisa Lugu-Peri Sauce was founded in 2018 as an intentional attempt to actively participate in the growing Agri Processing business within the African continent. After a few kitchen expeditions, we realized that there was substance in the characteristics of the product. Most importantly, Kupisa is materially different from any other sauce due to the fact that we use ingredients not incorporated in any other product.
Our ultimate goal is to become an international peri-peri sauce brand with solid African roots. Our biggest differentiator is a unique combination of a few raw organic herbs. The product is truly local and we mainly use ingredients from local farmers.

The sauce is produced in a state of art plant in Gauteng, at a facility that manufactures table sauces for multiple brands for both local and international
markets. The production plant is both Kosher and Halaal approved and it complies with the necessary regulations for food production. Being a proudly South African product, we own and manage the product life-cycle from preparation, packaging, marketing and distribution. The product is already available at a few local chain stores and in some neighboring countries. Currently, we are producing both Mild and Hot alternatives.

While our business grows, we would like to see our communities being uplifted and economically empowered as a result of our growing business. It is for that reason we procure over 80% of our ingredients from local producers and we maintain a mutually beneficial profit sharing arrangement with our Distributing Associates. We currently produce both mild and hot variants of the sauces, served in 250ml and 2 litre bottles. Since market introduction, Kupisa has received over 95% approval rate from customers who have tested the product. The product has been showcased successfully on the following platforms: Sunday World, Agripreneur, Small Business Expo, Konvenient Magazine, Instagram and Facebook.
